MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Twins fans didn't balk at snatching up postseason tickets before the team even officially made the playoffs.
The team announced Thursday afternoon that the home game ticket strips (just hours after they went on sale!) had sold out.
But don't fret fans, "additional tickets for possible Twins postseason home games will be available, as strips for possible Target Field games during the 2019 American League Division Series will go on-sale to the public beginning at noon CT on Thursday, September 19," according to a news release.
The full tickets strips that sold out were for 14 home playoff games the Twins “could” potentially play.
If you can't make it to a game the tickets are transferable.
You can give them to a friend or sell them online.
"The response of our fans has been tremendous all season long, and today is just another example of how Twins Territory has fully embraced this club and its postseason aspirations," said team President & CEO Dave St. Peter in their news release. "We still have work to do on the field, but we are all striving to reward Twins fans by bringing October baseball back to Target Field."
The Twins have not hosted a playoff game at Target Field since 2010.
The team has a four game lead over the Cleveland Indians in the American League Central.
The Twins record is 89-56. Only the 1965 American League champions Twins (91-54) had more wins through 145 games than the 2019 Twins.
