MINNEAPOLIS — There will be no baseball at Target Field on Sunday after Minnesota Twins officials postponed its 1:10 p.m. game with the Cleveland Guardians because of "inclement weather."
The Twins will now host a split doubleheader against the Guardians on Friday, Aug. 9 with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
Fans who purchased tickets for Sunday's game can use their tickets for admission into the makeup game on Friday without taking any further action. For those looking to exchange their tickets, click here.
According to KARE 11's forecast, Sunday is expected to be cool and windy with scattered showers throughout the day. Meteorologist Jamie Kagol says there's even a chance for a few rumbles of thunder.
The Twins are 3-4 this season and are coming off a 3-1 loss Saturday to the AL Central-leading Guardians, who have won four straight. Minnesota will host the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday at 6:40 p.m.
