BOSTON — Twins fans will have to wait a little longer to see their team continue their series against the Red Sox.
The team announced its planned game against the Red Sox has been postponed because of continued rain in the Boston forecast.
Instead, the teams will play in a doubleheader on Sunday. Tomorrow's planned game has been moved up from 1:35 p.m. to 12:35 p.m. and the postponed game will then be played at 5:35 p.m.
The Twins took down the Red Sox on Friday night in the 12th inning.
Winning for just the sixth time in their last 17 games, the Twins moved a game ahead Detroit, which lost 8-1 to the Baltimore Orioles, for the American League's third and final wild-card spot. The Twins hold the tiebreaker over the Tigers.
