DENVER — Timberwolves fans can now set their viewing schedules for the upcoming Western Conference Semifinals against Denver, and even before the first tipoff, one thing is clear... there will be some tired pups at work on a number of mornings.

The collision of the Wolves and Nuggets promises to be an interesting matchup, with the two clubs splitting the regular season series 2-2. Denver finished the season with just one more win than Minnesota.

And then, there are the matchups: Denver has multi-time league MVP Nikola Jokić, who averaged more than 26 points and 12 rebounds per game, but Minnesota counters with repeat NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert.  Rudy will get help from fellow big men Karl-Anthony Towns and Naz Reid in trying to stop "the Joker," arguably the league's best all-around player.

Wolves guard Anthony Edwards, who shredded the Suns from both inside and out while averaging 31 points in the four games of the opening series. It is unclear what the Nuggets will draw up to slow ANT down.

Pundits say this could prove to be the closest series of the playoffs. It seems many, like NBA.com writer Shaun Powell, are picking the Nuggets.

"Will home court be the edge for Denver? More likely, the moments of truth in each game will show us which star — Edwards or Karl-Anthony Towns or Jokić or Murray — will make the big shot. Let’s go with the champs, barely, in such situations," Powell wrote in a preview Tuesday.
