MINNEAPOLIS — On Monday, the Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled new jerseys and details of the big plan to bust 'em out.
The Nike 2024-25 NBA City Edition jerseys are an "encapsulation of Minnesota winters; the uniform evokes images of ice-covered lakes under a moonlit night sky," according to the Timberwolves news release. The jerseys follow last year's City Edition uniforms and continue to celebrate "lake life" in Minnesota.
Again the jerseys feature "Minnesota" across the chest and the color scheme is predominantly white with shoulders going from black ice to ice shards of blue.
The new threads will make their debut on Sunday, Nov. 17 when the T-Wolves host the Phoenix Suns for a matinee match-up. That game will also see the debut of the accompanying City Edition court which will feature the apron of the court painted "solid black as the night sky, providing a crisp contrast to the white uniforms."
Along one sideline the wording of "Land of 10,000 Lakes" will be prominently displayed and team officials said the parts of the court will have a "frozen over" look to it, especially the lanes. The Timberwolves logo at center court will also be "iced-out."
Officials said the team will wear the new uniforms 23 times this season, including 15 home games.
The Timberwolves have released a new City Edition jersey annually since Nike introduced the concept back in 2017. This is the eighth Timberwolves City Edition uniform.
The jerseys will be available for public purchase on Thursday, Nov. 14.
