Get lost in MIA's winter ice maze

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is providing a place to get lost... in an ice maze!

MINNEAPOLIS - Need a place to get lost?

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is building an ice maze right outside their doors.

It’s about 40 feet long, 7 feet high and 20 feet wide, and built in the shape of the MIA logo.

Visitors will notice what appears to be clothing inside some of the ice walls. Those are sneak peeks at MIA’s “Power and Beauty in China’s Last Dynasty” exhibition, opening Feb. 3. The images you see in the ice, of course, are photos - not priceless artifacts.

The ice maze will have a grand opening Thursday at 5 p.m. with free hot chocolate. Then it’s open during regular museum hours through Sunday, Feb. 4.

If you're worried about getting lost, don't! The maze is pretty easy to find your way in and out of.
