JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson continues to climb the team's all-time receiving list.
The former NFL Offensive Player of the Year moved into fourth all-time after hauling in a 5-yard pass on the team's opening drive Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jefferson's grab moved him ahead of Detroit Lakes native Adam Thielen.
Jefferson added another reception for 15 yards to help get Minnesota into field goal range for newly signed kicker John Parker Romo, who connected on a 45-yard field goal to give the Vikings an early 3-0 lead. It was Romo's first career attempt in the NFL, and it came after the team signed him mid-week following an injury to rookie kicker Will Reichard.
Jefferson is in just his fifth season with the Vikings since getting drafted No. 22 overall in 2020. He was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 after setting team records in receiving yards (1,809) and receptions (128).
