MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings made several roster moves on Wednesday, 24 hours following the devastating news of their superstar wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, going on injured reserve.
Vikings officials announced two wide receivers on the practice squad were signed to the active roster, including N'Keal Harry, a highly drafted player in 2019.
Harry, 25, signed with the team during training camp but did not make the final roster. He was the 32nd overall pick in the 2019 draft by the New England Patriots. Harry had 213 catches for 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns at Arizona State. He was traded to the Chicago Bears and played seven games in 2022.
The Vikings have elevated Harry from the practice squad each of the past two weeks. Harry has played mostly special teams snaps, but with the loss of Jefferson, could possibly move up the ranks of the receivers.
Trishton Jackson, the other wide receiver moved from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, played one snap on offense and six on special teams against the Chargers in Week 3, according to the Vikings website. Jackson, 25, is an undrafted free agent who played college ball at Syracuse.
