Vikings bring back familiar face on the offensive line

Risner joined the Vikings after Week 2 last season and went on to start the final 11 games of the season.

EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings are bringing back one of their better pass blockers from a season ago, shoring up the offensive line for whoever is under center this fall.

Veteran guard Dalton Risner posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, a picture of him wearing a Vikings uniform with the caption, "I'm BACK!!!!"

While the signing hasn't been announced by the team, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting Risner will sign a one-year deal to stay in Minnesota. Risner signed with the Vikings in mid September and was inserted into the starting lineup in later October. He started the final 11 games and was one of the more consistent pass blockers in that stretch.

The Vikings also re-signed guard Blake Brandel earlier this offseason, providing the team with some competition — and depth — come training camp.
