LOS ANGELES — Jaret Anderson-Dolan had a goal and an assist, and Jonathan Quick made 28 saves as the Los Angeles Kings defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-0.
It was Minnesota’s first game since Feb. 2 because of a COVID-19 outbreak that infected nearly half the team. With a handful of players still either on the COVID protocol list or injured, the lineup was filled with minor leaguers and taxi squad members. In fact, four of six defensemen were playing their first Wild game this season. Rookie Calen Addison, acquired in last season's Jason Zucker trade, was making his NHL debut.
Trevor Moore, Dustin Brown and Drew Doughty also scored for the Kings, while backup goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen made 25 saves for Minnesota.
The Wild continue their COVID comeback Thursday in Anaheim. Meanwhile, the NHL schedule-makers have announced the following adjustments to the team's itinerary, to make up games lost during the team's shutdown.
