PARIS, France — Plenty of hardware will be on the line Tuesday, with St. Paul native Suni Lee and Simone Biles leading the way for the U.S. in the women's team gymnastics final.
The pair put on a clinic in Sunday's qualifier, setting the U.S. up for a chance to reclaim the top spot in women's team competition.
Lakeville native Regan Smith will also go for gold on Tuesday in the 100-meter backstroke.
Former Minnesota Timberwolves forward Chase Budinger will also be back in action Tuesday in the men's beach volleyball competition.
Suni Lee
11:15 a.m. CT — Women's gymnastics team final (NBC)
Suni Lee and Simone Biles will be joined by teammates Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey as the United States attempts to reclaim the top of the podium after capturing silver in the 2020 Toyko Olympics. Biles and Lee led the way in Sunday's qualifier, finishing first and third, respectively, in the all-around.
In Tuesday's team final, Lee will compete in the uneven bars, balance beam and floor. Biles and Chiles are slated to compete in all four events, while Carey will represent the U.S. in the vault.
The individual finals will be decided later this week and next week. Lee qualified individually in the beam, bars and all-around, making it the first time two Olympic all-around champions (Lee, Biles) face each other in the final.

Chase Budinger
1 p.m. CT — Men's beach volleyball | United States vs. Netherlands l (E!, NBC delay at 4 p.m.)
Former Wolves forward Chase Budinger returns to the sand after making quick work of France on Monday. Budinger and teammate Miles Evans will take on the Netherlands in preliminary play.

Regan Smith
1:30 p.m. CT — Women's 100-meter backstroke final (NBC)
Lakeville native Regan Smith is back in the pool for the finals of the 100-meter backstroke finals, just over a month after setting a new world record during the U.S. Olympics trials. Smith cruised in Monday's prelims before winning her semifinal heat to earn a spot in the final.
Smith captured bronze in the 100 backstroke during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but she's entering Tuesday's final as one of the favorites to finish atop the podium.
