Lynx captain Napheesa Collier ready for second Olympics appearance

The Minnesota forward has a newfound confidence ahead of this Olympics in Paris.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Lynx captain and WNBA MVP front runner Napheesa Collier is headed back to the Olympics.

This will be her second selection to Team USA after the Tokyo Olympics, where she was the youngest player on a roster made up of the best 12 players in the United States.

Collier says this Olympics will be different considering how many years of WNBA experience she has added to her resume through the years.

The standout also added that practicing and preparing with the best in the country helps every aspect of her game, and gives her the best "iron sharpens iron" scenario she could experience. Practicing with Team USA also gives her a chance to learn the preparation and skills from the other veterans on the 12-man roster.

Collier also says working with Cheryl Reeve gives her a little more comfortability ahead of the games because she already has the time and game plan experience with her head coach after six seasons together.
