The fourth annual Girls Hockey Outdoor Classic took place on Saturday at the Roseville Oval. The event hosted one thousand youth girls hockey players and brought in hundreds of spectators and fans. It was a great hockey showing for the state of Minnesota. Teams played in three 30-minute pond hockey games, four-on-four style. The event has been around since 2014 and creates a local, state and national awareness of girls and women’s hockey, while empowering young female athletes through sport.
