ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota's title-winning PWHL team has a new name for season two, and now... a redesigned jersey and uniform to go with it.
Officially known as the Minnesota Frost, the Walter Cup-winning hockey club will keep the same colors - purple and white - while adding a jagged icicle logo and changing up the stripes and number font. Here's how the league describes the team's new duds, created in a partnership with hockey giant Bauer:
"The Frost’s home jersey embraces the chill with a deep purple base that channels the spirit of Minnesota winters. White accents on the shoulders, arms and waist add a crisp, icy contrast, capturing the sharpness of the frozen landscape. Light purple details introduce a modern touch, blending seamlessly to create a layered, frosted look that embodies both the intensity and elegance of the Frost on the ice. The jersey numbers feature a motif inspired by the shape of the team’s crest, bringing a distinct edge to the design."
New game quality and replica jerseys can be ordered online today at the Official PWHL Shop, or purchased at partnering retailers starting Nov. 14.
PWHL season two officially kicks off Nov. 30, with the Frost opening at home on Sunday, Dec. 1 against the New York Sirens at Xcel Energy Center.
