MINNEAPOLIS — D'Angelo Russell's first shot was a good one - it was of fans at the gate in Minneapolis.
The guard had is mini-camera out as he arrived in Minnesota for the first time on Thursday night. Russell was acquired via trade as the Timberwolves made the move with the Golden State Warriors just before the deadline.
Karl-Anthony Towns was at the airport to greet his newest teammate.
Minnesota acquired Russell along with Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman. The Timberwolves sent Andrew Wiggins and '21 protected first-round pick and second-round pick to Golden State.
The Timberwolves host the Clippers on Saturday night.
