Twins gear up for season in spring training

The KARE 11 sports team will have full coverage from Florida at Twins spring training.

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Sunshine and lofty expectations.

That’s what the Twins are dealing with heading into the 2020 season. After pitchers and catchers reported last week, full workouts began on Monday.

Minnesota claimed the AL Central title a season ago while winning 101 games and setting a new major league record for home runs. They’ve added the likes of third baseman Josh Donaldson, pitchers Rich Hill, Homer Bailey, Kenta Maeda and others in the offseason.

The Twins expect big things for this year even with their postseason struggles in recent years.

The KARE11 Sports department will have full coverage from Fort Myers, Florida.
