EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Vikings have had some colorful matchups with the Dallas Cowboys over the years: Anyone remember the Hail Mary touchdown pass to Drew Pearson on Dec. 28, 1975, that handed the Vikes a heartbreaking playoff loss?

The Color Rush uniforms have proven popular with fans as well as players.

Well, on December 1 Minnesota's team and the Cowboys will meet in another clash that will be colorful even if the game isn't any good. Both squads will wear 'Color Rush' uniforms designed by Nike, a practice that has grown popular in recent years due to the unique spin on traditional uniforms. The Vikings revealed their 2016 model Tuesday morning, and to say they are purple... we mean PURPLE... would be understating things a bit.

We're talking deep purple jerseys with minimal gold piping, purple pants and purple socks.

By the way, the last time the Vikings wore purple jerseys with purple pants was on October 27, 2013. They lost to the Packers 44-31.
