ST PAUL, Minn. — The Wild will be without Jason Zucker for more than a month.
Minnesota announced that the forward underwent surgery to repair a fractured right fibula. He sustained the injury after taking a slap shot to the leg on Sunday against Chicago.
After the play, Zucker skated off the ice but he played the rest of the game. The forward misses the last two games before this surgery.
The team says his recovery timetable is four to six weeks.
Zucker has totaled 24 points this season including a dozen goals.
The Wild face Winnipeg on Saturday afternoon.
