A 'hard' day: Driver rolls cement truck on Highway 36 ramp

The State Patrol said no other vehicles were involved, but the driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — A mishap involving a cement truck shut down a busy east metro exit ramp for several hours Thursday morning.

The State Patrol says troopers responded to the single vehicle crash around 10:35 p.m. MnDOT cameras show the driver of the cement truck leaving eastbound Highway 36 on the ramp to Snelling Ave. when the vehicle rolled onto its side. The patrol says the truck didn't make contact with any other vehicles.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with what the patrol says are minor injuries, while law enforcement blocked off the ramp so the cement truck could be righted and removed.

As of noon, that ramp was still blocked.
