State Patrol investigating death on Highway 169

Officials did not provide any additional details about the investigation.

Highway 169 northbound was closed between County Highway 83 and 21 on Thursday afternoon, and southbound was down to one lane.

SHAKOPEE, Minn. — A man was found dead Thursday afternoon along highway 169 at Canterbury Road in Shakopee.

The BCA said in a press release that someone called 911 shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday to report a possible body in the median along Highway 169.

When the Shakopee Police Department arrived on scene, they located a deceased male. 

Highway 169 northbound was closed for about a half hour while southbound was down to one lane as officials investigated the scene.

An three-car crash occurred near the same location on Wednesday just after 10:30 p.m., but it has not yet been determined if the two incidents are related.
