I-494 WB reopens after morning closure

Traffic was backed up for miles on the Tuesday morning commute after a semi-truck lost its load in a construction zone.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. — Tuesday morning commuters were treated to a traffic nightmare after road closures stymied drivers on I-494. 

Drivers faced delays of 30 minutes or more, according to 511mn. According to the website, a semi lost a load on the Minnesota River Bridge just after 8 a.m.

The bridge reopened just after 9 a.m.

Traffic was redirected to southbound and northbound 35E.
