FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — An Ohio man was struck and killed Monday when he stopped on Highway 210 to clear frost off his windshield.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Anthony Wayne Thacker, 51, stopped to clean his Pontiac minivan's windshield on Highway 210 west of Ottertail County Road 86 in Fergus Falls.
An Infinity headed west on the icy roadway collided with the minivan, which then spun around and was hit by a second vehicle. The crash happened at about 6 a.m. on Monday.
The state patrol says Thacker was killed. His passenger, 36-year-old Dustin David Dekarske, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The other two drivers involved were unharmed.
