Light rail resumes service on Saturday afternoon

Metro Transit said a "communications error" caused the pause in service.

MINNEAPOLIS — Update: As of 2:30 p.m., service has resumed on the Blue Line and Green Line. Previously scheduled replacement buses continue to run from Stadium Village to Union Depot.

Folks trying to travel by train in the Twin Cities on Saturday had to hop on a bus or hoof it after a technical issue halted the light rail.

Metro Transit posted that a "critical communications error" caused the suspension of services.

The transit service recommended that riders take D buses in the Blue Line corridor.

For service to St Paul, Metro Transit advised customers to travel on Route 3.
