OAK GROVE, Minn. — A motorcyclist is dead after being hit by an SUV in Oak Grove Saturday afternoon.

The Anoka County Sheriff says it appears 49-year-old Kelly Matthew Linder of Albert Lea was waiting to take a left-hand turn off of Northwest Viking Boulevard just before noon when he was rear-ended by a woman driving an SUV.

First responders attempted life-saving measures while an air ambulance was en route, but Linder died at the scene.

At this time there is no word on potential charges against the other driver. Investigators from the Minnesota State Patrol, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office are trying to determine what led to the fatal collision.
