Man killed after pickup and semi-truck collide in Anoka County

The crash happened early Tuesday morning in Oak Grove, according to police.

OAK GROVE, Minn. — One man is dead after an early morning collision between two vehicles in Oak Grove, Hennepin County. 

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Grove Fire Department and Allina EMS were all called to crash between two vehicles near Viking Boulevard NW and Cedar Drive NW  just after 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to a press release. 

At this time police think a semi-truck was driving east and a pickup truck was heading west on Viking Boulevard when the pickup crossed the center line and the two collided head-on. 

The man driving the pickup truck was declared dead at the scene. The semi's driver was not injured. 

Neither man's name has been released at this time. 

The Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
