BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Bloomington police say a search for a suspect who stole a vehicle led to a temporary shutdown of I-494 on Tuesday evening in Minnetonka.
According to a tweet by Bloomington police, the vehicle was stolen from the city of Bloomington, and later located near I-494 and Highway 7 in Minnetonka. Police said the suspect fled from the car on foot.
Bloomington officers are working with Minnetonka police in the search for the suspect.
The temporary shutdown of I-494 happened just before 5:00 p.m. during the busy evening commute. MnDOT traffic cameras showed traffic was flowing again by 5:30 p.m.
