TEL AVIV, Israel — Tel Aviv is considered by many to be the 'Miami of the Middle East.' It is a relatively new city when compared to Jerusalem, with most of the seaside architecture dating back just 100 years or so.
KARE 11's Sven Sundgaard joined KARE 11 Sunrise from Tel Aviv Tuesday with the gorgeous, blue Mediterranean Sea as his backdrop. He also shared some of the sights and sounds of Jerusalem, the holy city where three religions intersect and lasting peace has been difficult to find.
During his stay Sven is visiting temples, churches and mosques that are so central to the country's culture, while also exploring the open markets and night life spots that make up life in modern Israel.
