If a bad storm hits, would you know where your safe place is?
The National Weather Service is leading an initiative to raise awareness about safe places for severe weather events.
Wednesday is #SafePlaceSelfie day for the National Weather Service, and they're asking people to post pictures on social media to participate. People are asked to take a selfie in their safe places at work, at home or elsewhere.
NWS hopes that this effort will get people thinking about what they would do in an emergency.
