Slick roads after overnight snow, more flakes to fall tonight

Road conditions are slick this morning, so use caution if you are traveling before sunrise, especially on lesser traveled roads, overpasses and ramps.

After a shot of fresh light snow, we'll see a few more modest snow producers this week adding up to several fresh inches of snow by the weekend. The next of these systems moves through overnight tonight. There are NO advisories or watches/warnings but up to 1" of snow could fall tonight with slightly more to our east in Western Wisconsin: some spots there could pick up 1"-3".

The snow starts late this evening (around 7-9pm) and wraps up by 1-3 AM Tuesday. Temps will continue to be mild today and tomorrow with highs near 30, so salt will work well and we'll see some quick breaks of sun midday today and tomorrow.

Yet MORE snow is on the way Wednesday & Friday, so keep those shovels/brooms handy!
