ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - The man who was killed in a crash at Interstate 394 and Highway 169 Wednesday afternoon has been identified.
The State Patrol states a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, being driven by 52-year-old Matthew Lynch, of Minneapolis, was headed north on Ford Road, when they failed to stop at a stop sign on Wayzata Boulevard, went through the intersection and crashed through the freeway wall.
The vehicle landed 50-feet below on the eastbound lanes of 394.
Lynch was pronounced dead.
The State Patrol is investigating the crash, which temporarily backed up traffic for miles in the west metro.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
