MINNEAPOLIS — The weekend snow caught some Minnesota drivers off-guard and state troopers said they responded to more than 100 crashes between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Minnesota State Patrol reported that between 4 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, troopers reported to more than 114 crashes, 19 of those with injuries, 66 vehicles that had spun out or gone off the road and one jackknifed semi.

The southern portions of the state saw just over an inch of snow, other areas had just a trace amount.

No more snow is expected to fall on Sunday, but temps will drop and winds will pick up.
