GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn — There’s a lunar eclipse happening bright and early Wednesday morning.
A lunar eclipse is when the moon passes through earth’s shadow.
Here’s what to look for.
The partial eclipse begins at 4:44 a.m. in the western sky. The moon will darken as it approaches the horizon. However, with the moon setting at 5:39, the total eclipse will occur after the moon sets. Therefore, we will not see the deep red color associated with totality.
The next total lunar eclipse visible to us is about a year from now, May 16th, 2022.
