MINNEAPOLIS — The creative and diverse restaurants that fill up the new North Loop Galley will, ideally, only be there for a year.
That's because the vision of the new food and beverage hall is to be a launchpad for aspiring restaurateurs in Minnesota.
The four spaces that house full-service restaurants will host their current businesses for 12 months. At the end of that time, those chefs will transition out, hopefully into the next phase of their independent business. Then new chefs will rotate in for 12-month stints.
The galley also provides marketing help, overhead equipment and business strategy support to the tenants.
Currently, the food hall hosts:
- Soul-Fu: Southern and Southeastern Asian Cuisine
- Wrecktangle Pizza: Detroit Style Pizza Through a Minnesota Lens
- Thigh Times Birdhouse: The Original Chicken Wrib
- Ono Hawaiian Plates: Sharing Aloha, One Plate at a Time
The North Loop Galley is in the Nordic Building at 729 Washington Avenue North. In addition to the four restaurants, it has a full-service bar with specialty cocktails and local craft beers.
