Man killed in apparent drive-by shooting in north Minneapolis

MPD says a man was walking on the sidewalk when there was an exchange of gunfire between the victim and at least one person inside a passing vehicle.

MINNEAPOLIS — A man was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon in Minneapolis' Harrison neighborhood.

The Minneapolis Police Department says a man was walking on the sidewalk near the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Newton Avenue North just after 3 p.m. when there was an exchange of gunfire between the victim and at least one person inside a passing vehicle. Police say the 22-year-old victim died at the scene.

Officials say no arrests have been made.
