MINNEAPOLIS — The second of two teenagers who were shot on the same day, in separate incidents and later died, has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released its findings Tuesday into the autopsy of 17-year-old Lonnaya I'zanay Warren-Loyd, who was shot in north Minneapolis on July 7 and ultimately succumbed to her injuries five days later.

The ME's report showed her death was ruled a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds.

Javon Jarule Stevenson, 18, was shot just about an hour and a half before Warren-Lloyd, but in Minneapolis' Whittier neighborhood.

Stevenson was rushed to HCMC but he did not survive.

According to Minneapolis police, officers found Warren-Lloyd around 9:30 p.m., seated inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Shortly after she arrived at North Memorial Hospital, police said a 30-year-old man checked in, telling hospital officials he had just come from a shooting on Freemont and Dowling Avenues.

Warren-Lloyd died on July 12.

Authorities said their preliminary investigation showed Stevenson was shot after being involved in a "verbal altercation."

According to police, no arrests have been made.
