RECIPE: Hugo Gin Spritz at Kowalski's

This simple and refreshing cocktail is a perfect addition to any summer cookout.

MINNEAPOLIS — If you're looking for a new cocktail to try this summer, Kowalski's Culinary Director Rachel Perron is here with a fresh twist on a popular drink. 

Hugo Gin Spritz

MAKES 1

  • ice
  • small handful of mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish
  • 2 lime slices, divided
  • 2 ounces elderflower liqueur
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 2 ounces cold prosecco
  1. Fill a white wine glass with ice; set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, lightly muddle the mint leaves and 1 lime slice.
  3. Add elderflower liqueur and gin.
  4. Fill shaker with ice; shake for 30 sec.
  5. Strain mixture into the ice-filled glass; top with prosecco.
  6. Garnish glass with the sprig of mint and the remaining lime slice.
