ST PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul police are introducing a new line of stickers for people to display at their homes that can give first responders extra information in case of an emergency.

According to SPPD social media posts, the emergency responder alert stickers include options for households with people who are deaf or hard of hearing, have autism, or have dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

"In an emergency, every second counts—and communication is the key," the department's Facebook post reads. "When you call for help, you want us to arrive fast and ready to keep you safe. But sometimes there isn’t time for our officers to learn everything about you before they arrive."

The 2-by-2-inch stickers can be displayed at a home, vehicle, or anywhere else.

The stickers are free and can be requested by sending an email to the city.
