MINNEAPOLIS — Two Minneapolis men are facing charges for their alleged roles in killing a man in an alley behind Lake Street in May.
Minneapolis Police officers on patrol were initially waived down by a pedestrian who told them a man was overdosing in the alley behind 128 West Lake Street on May 16.
When they arrived, officers began CPR before they observed that the man had been shot. The victim was transported to HCMC where he later died.
Officers canvassed the area for surveillance footage and obtained video that showed the victim walking into the alleyway, followed by 19-year-old Adnan Hassanur and 24-year-old Barkat Nour.
Footage from a separate camera allegedly showed both Hassanur and Nour exiting the alley shortly after.
A witness allegedly told officers she observed three men arguing in the alley before the shooting.
Additional footage from a nearby market allegedly showed Nour walking through the store with the barrel of a handgun apparently hidden in his clothing.
Both defendants have been charged with murder.
