MINNEAPOLIS — Another person has died after being shot on May 30th on Blaisdell Avenue in Minneapolis, officials said.
According to a release from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, Mohamed Bashir Aden, 36, of Columbia Heights died at Hennepin Healthcare from complications of multiple gunshot wounds Friday.
The medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide.
On Thursday, May 30, Minneapolis police were called to the 2200 block of Blaisdell Avenue for a report of a shooting in an apartment. Three people were fatally shot, including Minneapolis Officer Jamal Mitchell, 32-year-old Osman Said Jimale of Minneapolis and the shooter, Mustafa Mohammed.
Four others were injured: a police officer, a firefighter, a bystander in a vehicle and another person inside the apartment building.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) said Aden was shot inside the apartment on Blaisdell Avenue. The BCA is actively investigating this now-double homicide, the agency said in a media release, in addition to the use-of-force incident that happened a short time later.
