EAGAN, Minn. — Receiver Justin Jefferson says he'll "for sure" play on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings host the Houston Texans.

The All-Pro receiver was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, but was certain about his status during his Thursday press conference.

"Oh, yeah; for sure," he said.

Jefferson is recovering from a quad injury he sustained in the third quarter during Minnesota's 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said he suffered a quad contusion when he was hit by another player's leg.

"Feeling pretty good," said Jefferson, who didn't return to the game. "Just working out the quad and making sure that it feels good and everything is OK for me to go Sunday. ... Every day it feels a lot better."

Jefferson finished the game with four catches for 133 yards and a 97-yard touchdown. He injured his quad while making a block during a run play in the third quarter, something he said on Thursday he wasn't supposed to do on that play.

"I could have controlled this injury by not going in there on this run play," Jefferson said. "That wasn't my job on that specific run. So, things to avoid and things to look for in the future."

Fellow receiver Jordan Addison remained on the rehab field on Thursday as he continued to work on the ankle he injured in Week 1 against the New York Giants.

Addison was injured on a hit that was later ruled as a "hip-drop tackle," which was banned over the offseason. According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, the league fined Giants linebacker Darius Muasau $4,696 despite no flag being thrown.

Rookie Dallas Turner confirmed on Thursday that he won't play on Sunday, but says he's planning to be back in Week 4 against Green Bay.
