MN Wild part ways with Director of Team Operations Andrew Heydt

The Wild concluded a pair of investigations into the complaints and said they took "appropriate steps" to address the matter.

ST PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild have parted ways with their Director of Team Operations, Andrew Heydt.

The news comes less than ten days after it was reported that Heydt was the employee who filed a complaint against the team's President of Hockey Operations and GM, Bill Guerin.

“Andrew Heydt and the Minnesota Wild have mutually agreed to part ways. The Wild will not comment further on this matter,” said a statement from a team spokesperson.

The Athletic reported that Bill Guerin was the focus of an investigation following a complaint by an employee accusing the team’s president of hockey operations and GM of verbal abuse.

Beat writer Michael Russo's report said anonymous team sources revealed the employee who filed the complaint was Heydt. He had been in that position for 10 years and oversaw team travel, logistics, and player and alumni relations.

Russo reported that Heydt has been absent from work recently, he interacted with Guerin on an almost daily basis.

The Wild concluded a pair of investigations into the complaints and said they took "appropriate steps" to address the matter.

Former Assistant General Manager Chris O'Hearn left the organization earlier in December by mutual agreement with the Wild.

Minnesota has been 10-3-0 since John Hynes became coach.
