MINNEAPOLIS — Several airlines have issued travel waivers for people flying in and out of Minneapolis this weekend ahead of the impending winter storm.
Heavy snow is expected across Minnesota and Wisconsin from Friday to Saturday, with 6 to 10 inches likely in the Twin Cities metro.
A Winter Storm Warning is in place for most of Minnesota.
Anyone traveling in the Midwest on Friday, Jan. 16 or Saturday, Jan. 17 can check to see if their specific airline is issuing a travel waiver.
Some of the waivers already issued for the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport:
Delta
- Travel waiver issued for flights on Jan. 17 or 18
- Change fee will be waived, or flight can be canceled and value used toward a future flight
- Ticket must be reissued on or before Jan. 21
- Original ticket must have been issued on or before Jan. 15
