WEATHER: A feel of spring in the air today

It will feel like spring today, but summer storms return Monday evening.

MINNESOTA, USA — Temperatures today will be reminiscent of late May with lots of sunshine and a light breeze.

Afternoon temperatures will end up in the lower half of the 70s while dew points hover in the 40s.

Rain chances return on Monday with temperatures returning to the lower 80s by Tuesday. There is a chance of strong storms reaching the Twin Cities late Monday; however, the risk of severe weather will be a greater to the west and southwest.

Looking further out, there is a chance for rain toward the end of next week closer to Independence Day. While there are some details to be worked out in the timing for July 4th, it is looking like rain will threaten fireworks for parts of the region.
