WEATHER: A few more showers Tuesday

Rain moves back in over the Fourth of July with the best chance of rain during the firework timeframe.

MINNESOTA, USA — Overnight rain has already wrapped up making the morning drive a fairly dry one. Clouds will stick around for a good chunk of the day with highs in the upper 70s. A few passing showers will be possible with the heaviest rain today staying well to our southeast near Rochester.

A few inches of rain will be possible this evening on a line from Des Moines to Lacrosse. Most of this will stay southeast of the metro with just a few passing showers.

It will be warmer north of the Twin Cities with a lower chance of rain and more sunshine near Brainerd.

Another system will be moving across the region on Thursday and Friday which means we'll be dealing with rain for Independence Day activities including fireworks displays, especially for central and southern Minnesota.
