WEATHER: Rain moves out, slow clearing Thursday

Sunshine breaks out Thursday with warmer air to end the week.

MINNESOTA, USA — Rain is shifting across the state this afternoon. Expect scattered, light rain showers through the evening commute into the early evening hours. Areas across western and central Minnesota will see the most with up to a half inch. Less than a quarter inch is expected elsewhere.

Highs will be held down due to the rain with highs in the middle to upper 40s with southeast winds at 5-15 mph. Expected cooler temps in central Minnesota where the rain is expected to be heavier.

Temperatures will rebound following Wednesday's showers leading into a dry and mild end to the work week.

More sunshine expected for Friday and Saturday with warm and breezy conditions.  Clouds increase on Monday and a rain storm moves in Tuesday and stalls out possibly thru Thursday with some snow expected to mix in with the rain as the temperatures chill down.
