ST. CLOUD, Minn. —  A 26-year-old is accused of fatally shooting a man during an altercation at party back on Oct. 22 in St. Cloud.

Deionte Jaewon Parker is charged with second-degree murder with intent to kill, illegal possession of a firearm and second-degree assault with a deadly weapon.

According to court documents, witnesses told investigators that Parker allegedly shot and killed 34-year-old Antonio Harris Jr. just before 4 a.m. while at a party on the 700 block of 6th Avenue South. Two other people were also shot during the altercation, one in the leg and another in the foot.

Investigators believe that the incident was in retaliation of a stabbing that occurred in July.

Prosecutors say Parker allegedly showed up at the party with a gun. One of the victims, who was allegedly involved in the stabbing incident back in July, told investigators that Parker pointed his gun at him earlier, and then said he later saw him shoot Harris Jr. before firing at him. The victim, who was outside at the time of the shooting, said he was shot in the leg while trying to run back inside the house.

Police say Parker was arrested on Oct. 27 on an unrelated probation violation. He will make his first court appearance on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
