ST PAUL, Minn. — A man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in St. Paul's Summit-University neighborhood.
A spokesperson with the St. Paul Police Department says they received a report of shots being fired on the 400 block of University Avenue West just before 3 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds at the intersection of Arundel Street and University Ave. The man was transported to Regions Hospital where he later died, according to police.
The SPPD identified the victim of the shooting as 30-year-old Alfonzo Armstead on Thursday afternoon.
Police say one person is in custody.
